Crystal is a recent graduate of Dallas Baptist University where she earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education: Childhood Ministry and a Master of Arts in Theology. Born in Alvin, Texas, Crystal first felt her calling to work with children in high school when she was part of a program that taught children about child abuse. She traveled to Dallas and began her studies for a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During this period, she became involved with a local church and discovered that her call to work with and help children was evolving into a call to work with children in ministry. She worked as an Assistant Children's Minister to Missy Reimer at Highpointe Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas and was also a preschool teacher at First Baptist Church in Dallas. Crystal has a passion for serving children and their families. She believes that the best way to minister to children is to love and care for their physical, behavioral, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual needs. To love children as Christ would is to love them for who God created them to be. It is her mission to show love and support the children of First Baptist, teaching them about the awesome love of Christ using central truths in the bible and teaching them how to live a life after Christ in order to impact the world for the sake of the kingdom.
