Kaleidoscope Program Information
Tuition Rates:
4/5 days a week - $160/month
3 (or less) days a week - $115/month
$50 Registration fee for first child, $75 for 2 or more.
Payment for after school care will be due on the 1st of each month. After the 15th of the month, a $50 late fee will be added. There will be a $2 per minute late charge per child after 6pm.
ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
Enrollment
Kaleidoscope availability is limited to 100 children in the program and van availability is limited to 78.
Required forms will include (but are not limited to): a new child information form, updated Immunization records, media release and a tuition payment contract. All parents MUST complete the required forms, pay the registration fee, and the September tuition at time of enrollment to be guaranteed the child is enrolled in the Kaleidoscope program.
Transportation
Van transport from selected schools will begin at 2:40pm. Van transportation is limited and if not available at your child's school they can be dropped off at Kaleidoscope at 3pm. Parents are required to call in each day by noon if their child is not attending. If a call is not received and a child is not picked-up the parent will be notified upon return of the school van by a Kaleidoscope employee.
Currently serving the following Norman schools:
Roosevelt, Truman, Washington, Lincoln, Madison, McKinley, Monroe, Cleveland
Adams and Jackson.
Subject to change each school year based upon enrollment.
Schedule
After-School Schedule (2:40pm until 6pm Mon-Fri.) Open only when Norman Public Schools are in session.
Activities
Gym, outside play, skating, bowling, freeplay, computer lab, arts & crafts, gameroom, movie day, homework. Homework and tutoring are offered every day except Friday which is movie day.
Safety
Children will not be released from the program, to a person other than the parent, unless they are authorized on the child information form. State issued identification will be required at the time of pick-up, as well as a call from parent.
Child abuse will be reported to the proper authorities.
Children’s personal belongings will be kept in the child’s backpack in the Homework room.
Health Policy
If a child becomes ill or has an accident, Kaleidoscope will first try to contact the parents and if they cannot be reached we will call the emergency contacts.
Kaleidoscope will not administer children’s medicines.
Positive Discipline
Policy Kaleidoscope has a Positive Discipline policy and it is available for review.
Snacks
A nutritious snack will be provided daily for the children.
