SummerSonlight 2012 Information

For your Entering Prek - Exiting Kindergarten Child 

  1. Early registration (for current participants only) for the 2012 program will begin August 1, 2011.  Open registration to the public begins March 1, 2012 (Those already in FBC programs may enroll on February 1, 2012.)

 

  1. We must receive the enrollment form and the registration fee at the same time!  One or the other will not hold a space for you in our program.  We will also need a copy of your child’s updated Immunization Record.

 

  1. SummerSonlight will always follow the same schedule dates as its older sibling, Summerscope.  SummerSonlight will begin on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 and end on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.  These dates are subject to change depending on the schedule of the Norman Public Schools.

 

  1. The hours of operation for SummerSonlight is 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

 

  1. The children will be dropped off in Room 108 on the main floor of the church building.  It is the parent’s responsibility to bring them to the room in the morning and to pick them up. Parents are required to sign their child in and out each day.

 

  1. The registration fee will be $50 for one child and $75 for more than one.  No more money will be required until the first one-third tuition payment is due on May 1, 2012.  This registration fee is non-refundable and is not included in the tuition.

 

  1. Payment for SummerSonlight is on a tuition basis.  Following is the tuition and the payment schedule: 

Full-time (4-5 days per week, one child)------------------------         $1,800.00

Full-time (second child, SummerSonlight)------------------------         $1,100.00

Full-time (second child, Summerscope)-------------------------          $   950.00


Part-time (2-3 days per week) ----------------------------------     $1,100 .00

Part-time (second child, SummerSonlight)-----------------------        $   812.00

Part-time (second child, Summerscope)--------------------------         $  750.00

Other financial arrangements will be considered on a case by case basis.

 

Full-time and Part-time payment schedule:

1/3 tuition due by May 1 (not refundable after May 15)

1/3 tuition due by June 1

1/3 tuition due by July 1

 

After May 15th, June 1st, and July 1st all fees should be current unless an alternate fee payment schedule has been agreed to in writing by the patron, SummerSonlight Director and FBC Children’s Director.


  1. You may make payments toward your 2012 tuition at any time prior to May 1, 2012.

 

  1. Any change in status from part-time to full-time or full-time to part-time will require permission from the SummerSonlight Director.  After June 15th, there will not be any change from full-time to part-time status unless there are extenuating circumstances.

 

  1. A written contract (tuition contract) stating the amount due, dates due, and consequences for non-payment must be signed and dated by both the patron and the SummerSonlight Director or FBC Children’s Director.  The patron will receive a copy of the signed document before registration is completed.

 

  1. All payments need to be made in the First Baptist Church main office, placed in the children's Ministry drop boxes or paid online.
  1. A late fee of $2 per minute will be charged if a parent is over 10 minutes late in picking a child up.  The fee charged will only be to offset the cost of paying staff to stay later than 6:10 pm.

 

  1. All activities are included in the basic fee. Lunch is also provided in your tuition.

 

  1. Proper records will be kept of all financial transaction.  All receipts, overdue fees, etc. will be recorded for future reference.

 

  1. A statement will be available for tax purposes when requested by the patron.

 

  1. Information concerning the day-to-day schedule will be provided at a Parent’s Meeting.  You will be notified as to the date and time of this meeting.  You are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.  This meeting will be combined with the Summerscope Parent Meeting.
