Jennifer Davis, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, and Saxophone
Jennifer Davis grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1993. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1998 from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Jennifer taught band, choir, and general music to students in pre-K through 12th grade in the Mooreland Public School district for ten years (1999 - 2009). She is now working on her Masters of Music degree in Ethnomusicology at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Jennifer studied under Nancy Stizza-Ortega for flute, Melanie Speer for oboe, and Dr. Chris Bade for clarinet and saxophone.
Jennifer is an oboist in the Oklahoma Baptist Symphony and her church orchestra. She regularly performs at local nursing homes and assisted living centers by singing and playing flute, clarinet, saxophone, and guitar. Her previous performing experiences include playing in: John Marshall High School Band, Oklahoma City Community Orchestra, Oklahoma Baptist University Symphonic Band, Oklahoma Baptist University Jazz Orchestra, Northern Oklahoma College Community Band, Northern Oklahoma College Jazz Band, Woodward First Baptist Jericho Orchestra, and Mooreland Pep Band.
Ted Jurcsisn, Guitar
Theodore Jurcsisn, a graduate teaching assistant at The University of Oklahoma, teaches guitar for the Norman Fine Arts Academy. Ted has taught private lessons in Dayton, Ohio where he received his A.A. in music theory from Sinclair Community College and his B.M. in music history and literature from Wright State University. As a guitarist, Ted has performed recitals at both SCC and WSU in addition to performing in the Dayton area. He also worked for three years as a music intern at the First Baptist Church of Dayton.
Currently, Ted is pursuing an masters of music in classical guitar performance at OU. He is also studying Renaissance lute performance as he accompanies the Collegium Musicum early music ensemble at OU. His favorite guitarists are Jullian Bream and David Russell.
Melissa Roy, Piano
Melissa Roy started piano lessons at the age of 11, and has yet to cease enjoying it immensely. As the daughter of a Navy officer, Melissa grew up around the country and took lessons from a number of teachers. She began teaching piano her senior year in high school, and continued to do so through college. After graduating summa cum laude from Point Loma Nazarene University with a BA in Piano Performance, Melissa taught private piano lessons and music appreciation classes in the New Orleans area. In addition to teaching, she is also an active accompanist for churches and schools. She is currently working towards a Master of Music Education in Piano Pedagogy at the University of Oklahoma.
Rachel Schmoyer, Piano
Rachel Schmoyer is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, and has experience teaching in both the private and group setting. She received her MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma. She obtained her undergraduate degrees in Piano Performance and Keyboard Pedagogy from Cedarville University in Ohio.
Rachel teaches group piano and private lessons at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, and also works as the director of the Fine Arts Academy of First Baptist Church in Norman. Furthermore, she currently serves as Representative at Large for the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association, and is also involved in the Norman Area Music Teachers Association. Rachel has experience working with a wide age-range of students, and enjoys the challenges and perspectives that each one brings with them.

Jennifer Tripi has studied piano since the age of five. She has been drawn to teaching almost as long as she has been playing. She greatly enjoys sharing with students both the excitement and challenges piano brings.
Jennifer is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Piano Pedagogy at the University of Oklahoma where she also teaches both group and private piano. Beginning her teaching career in the small town of Rome, Georgia, she received Bachelor's degrees in both Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Shorter College.
In addition to teaching, she serves as the accompanist at Bridgeview United Methodist Church in Norman. Jennifer enjoys both studying and performing music, but dreams of a career that focuses on teaching.
Rebecca Wiitala, Piano
Rebecca Wiitala has taught private piano lessons for the last six years, and loves teaching students of all ages. Originally from Dexter, MI, she is currently pursuing a Masters of Music Education in Piano Pedagogy at the University of Oklahoma with the goal of teaching private piano. In April 2008, she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Music, emphasis in piano, from Eastern Michigan University
Rebecca also enjoys singing, and has many years of choir experience as well as private voice lessons. She has participated in the Collegium Musicum at Eastern Michigan University, which specializes in vocal and instrumental music from the 16th and 17th centuries. In addition to these activities, Rebecca has been active as a choir accompanist. She is currently employed by the University of Oklahoma, where she teaches Music Aural Skills and Group Piano.
