“Put your HOPE in God”
Psalm 42:11
In chapters 42 and 43 of Psalms, we read these words three times. How beautiful to be reminded, but if you have not heard, how can you know? As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and retired elementary teacher, I know the importance of early education. At Christmastime, we give gifts. The greatest gift of all is the news of salvation and eternal life. So, we pack shoeboxes with gifts of love and a message about Jesus Christ so that we can share the story with children all over the world who are our HOPE for the future. More than 230 million shoeboxes have been distributed through Samaritan’s Purse, sharing the Good News. I’m thankful that our church is a part of this program. Our Circle of Friends class has enjoyed this shoebox tradition for more than 20 years and has sent more than 1,000 boxes. What a blessing to be able to touch the lives of our precious children.
